Over the last ten years, the evidence that we need to protect and preserve the environment has become indisputable. In response to this, The Royal Foundation and Prince William have launched The Earthshot Prize. The prize aims to identify solutions to the world’s biggest environmental problems and is centred around five ‘Earthshots’.

These Earthshots are simple but ambitious goals for the planet which if achieved by 2030, will improve life for us all.

The five Earthshots are:

Protect and restore nature

Clean our air

Revive our oceans

Build a waste-free world

Fix our climate

Five, one million-pound prizes will be awarded each year for the next decade, with the aim to provide solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems by 2030.
